HTML5 <rt> Tag

The HTML <rt> tag is used to embrace pronunciation of characters presented in a ruby annotations, which are used to describe the pronunciation of East Asian characters. This element is always used inside a <ruby> element.

The only content permitted inside this element is phrasing content. You can omit the end tag if the <rt> element is immediately followed by an <rt> or <rp> element, or if there is no more content in the parent element

The parent of the <rt> tag can be a <ruby> element.

The following style is applied to this element by default:

rt {
  line-height: normal;

Here are some examples of using this tag:

  漢 <rt>Kan</rt>
  字 <rt>ji</rt>


This element only accepts global attributes.
